The Referral from the Last House on the Street ;)

-us chillin' in an apt building, as always
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MY FAV MOMS OUT THERE (especially the one named Marci) (love u Mom). Moms are so special and they deserve all the love in the world. My friend Ballal helped me to know that this Sunday. We asked the little guy if he told his mom happy Mother's Day and he was like, "Ya sisters, of course! I even got her a present." So we were like, "Oh! What'd you get her?" And he says, "A Pomeranian." So casual. We are both like, "What?? Ballal, you got her a Pomeranian?" He's like, "Ya. I was saving up all my money for an Xbox but then it was Mother's Day so I used it to buy my mom a Pomeranian." Hahaha! In conclusion, do you love your mom enough to use your Xbox money to buy her a Pomeranian? Let that one sink in.

Treat yo self
This week we were praying hard to receive inspired referrals from people we meet as we are out working! We hadn't seen much success with it in the beginning of the week, but we kept praying and trying and then FINALLY we felt inspired to go to a certain street and knock. Door after door no one was interested until we got to the very last house. Lol. He actually wasn't interested either, but we asked if he knew anyone that could use a message and after a couple seconds of thoughtful pondering he was like, "Ya, I actually do! 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue." So we are PUMPED at this point. We just got a solid referral right?? So we type 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue into our GPS and lo and behold, we got referred to the President of the United States. Hahahah shoot. God bless America. Also God bless Sister Mod and Sister Jones for not knowing the President's address.

FLOWER BUSHES 😍
On the bright side though, we had President Packer of the missionary department train us on how to use the teaching pamphlets more effectively which was sweet! President Packer told us a story of how he was asked to give a demonstration first lesson to a big group of people, so he was practice teaching to his grandma and grandpa (President Boyd K. Packer, wow right?). When he was done with his 8-minute restoration lesson President Boyd K. Packer said, "Well that was way too long, you lost me at 6 minutes." That really just put things into perspective for me. We are to teach people like the Savior did, line upon line and precept upon precept, every man according to their own understanding. Which means SIMPLY. The gospel is so simple and man am I grateful for that because I still have so much to learn! Love you all. Don't forget to do the little things like say prayers and read scriptures, that's where the power comes.
